Enver Izmaylov (Ukraine, Crimea)
Enver Izmaylov is a guitar player, a composer, one of the world top guitarists who use tapping technique. He was one of tapping inventers. This technique may be considered an extended one, in that it is executed by using the fingers of one hand to 'tap' the strings against the fingerboard, thus sounding legato notes, often in tightly synchronized conjunction with the other hand. Enver’s music was influenced by ethno-jazz synthesis and he himself developed this style, having combined Crimean Tatar folklore with, so to speak, classical jazz.
