International jazz festival «Art Jazz Cooperation 2009» Lutsk-Rivne is an outstanding event for both the Rivne and Volyn regions. The festival is the first large cultural event that brought together culturally aware people in the framework of jazz music.

The International jazz festival «Art Jazz Cooperation 2009» is going to take place on August 28-29, 2009 in both cities, Lutsk and Rivne.

The characteristic feature of the festival is the simultaneousness of gigs in two cities: the bands shift from one place to another, performing in the Lutsk Castle or the Rivne Drama Theatre. The traditional Olexandr Bilchook’s photo exhibition «Photos of jazz» that usually takes place in Lutsk, his hometown, will deeply immerse you into the improvisation of light and texture, will swirl you around with the wind of light and shadows, the emotions that can be observed during jazz gigs only.

You will have a chance to listen to the most outstanding Ukrainian as well as foreign contemporary musicians: Enver Izmaylov (Ukraine, Crimea), Lounge-duet «HVOYA» (Ukraine, Kyiv), «Solomin Band» (Ukraine, Kyiv), Leshek Dranitski (Polsnd, Gdansk), Ihor Zakus and his well-known «Z-Band» will present their project «Kolomyyky» (Ukraine, Kyiv), The Brass-ensemble «Kapriz», the soloists of the Bolshoy Theatre (Russia, Moscow) will play some New Orleans jazz for you, Dara Navrodska (Ukraine—Germany), Olena and Ihor Perchook Jazz-duet (Israel), Yuriy George Vynohradov Trio (Ukraine, Kyiv), Oleh Bakovskyy Jazz Trio (Ukraine, Lutsk) and «Double Jam» (Ukraine, Lutsk) will make the festival days unforgettable.
